it was a 30 yard shot that may have been deflected.
the Canadian side were definitely squeezing their sticks a bit afterwards, but good on them for getting the game back in hand.

attempts on goal were 31-6, corners were 12-0, crosses were 38-4, passes were 564-151, possession was 78% to 22%.
although that tying goal was a little worrisome at the time, the game was about as lopsided as it gets.
but you're right, the dude that did score is probably a national hero.

It's all good. I don't understand why Soccer is so popular in the rest of the World. I mean when a player doesn't even get touched goes down like he's been shot dead it's a bit ridiculous. Obviously Canada agrees.
