I don't mind losing to Argentina in basketball (even though I can't stand that diver Ginobili), but how in the holy hell did we lose to Puerto Rico?!?

and canada looked pretty blah tonight ... 2 late goals against a squad laden with Puerto Rico Islanders (the team in the league 1 level below MLS) ... pretty sad really

and an opposing player should get a free shot at giving him the injury that he is pretending to have

thats pretty violent ... id be ok with the opposing player being allowed to throw a steaming hot ziplock bag of urine at the divers face

Belgian Soccer Match Halted After Japanese Goalie Kawashima Shaken by Fukushima Chants - Japan Real Time - WSJ

Jeering at soccer games is as expected as silence at opera performances.

But derisive chants from opposing fans towards Eiji Kawashima at a Belgian soccer match over the weekend reached a low for the goalkeeper, a regular in Japan’s national team, when a group began bellowing “Kawashima, Fukushima!”

After Mr. Kawashima brought the barracking to the referee’s attention, the official briefly halted the game between Belgian soccer teams Beerschot and Mr. Kawashima’s Lierse on Friday evening local time until the chanters settled down, according to local news reports. Lierse had scored the first goal of the game minutes before the taunts began. Fans also lobbed beverage containers towards the goalie. While Mr. Kawashima eventually indicated it was alright to proceed, the Beerschot fans’ behavior may have rattled the 28-year-old keeper. Beerschot scored shortly after the game resumed, bringing the game to the final 1-1 draw. Mr. Kawashima exited the pitch in tears.
