one guy doesnt always make the difference but

Interesting for Arsenal. Sell Sami Nasri and make £24 million. Lose to Udinese today in #UCL and miss out on £25 million plus

I wonder if Puerto Rico, St. Lucia, and St. Kitts are trembling at the thought of facing Canada...

well ends up being a pretty profitable day for Arsenal ... 3 - 1 up on Udinese on the road > champions league riches

lol...

The Vancouver Whitecaps told Jay DeMerit they planned to become one of the top 25 soccer clubs in the world and he believed them. He still does.

DeMerit still believes in Whitecaps

step 1: become one of the top 17 MLS clubs

yes Jay Demerit has been battling injuries, but i think he's been concentrating too much of his time this year on:

1) getting financing for his life story/documentary
2) getting into Ashleigh McIvors pants

there should be a corresponding story on this with the headline question ... "Do the Whitecaps still believe in Demerit?" He hasnt exactly been a talisman especially when paired with Boxall on the back line. You see what happens when Rochat is out of the lineup ... they lose games by 3 or 4. He definitely is a guy I point to and say maybe he needs to go this offseason. The salary is out of whack with the contribution.

am I reading this right? group (pot) A has:
barcelona, Man U, Chelsea, Bayern, Arsenal and madrid?

Eleven former winners grace group stage draw ? UEFA.com
if so... whoa.

hmmm interesting how that happened. is it a random draw? if so that is NOT random..... all teh best teams in one group will give alot weaker teams a longer run no?

thats just pot placement ... thats where they drew the groups from ... ie all the multi-time winners were in pot 1 so they wouldnt be drawn into the same group

(each group ends up with a club picked from pot 1,2,3 and 4)

heres the results from the draw today

http://www.uefa.com/MultimediaFiles/Download/competitions/Draws/01/66/79/36/1667936_DOWNLOAD.pdf

group A is this years insane group of death

1. FC Bayern München (from pot 1)
2. Manchester City FC (from pot 3)
3. SSC Napoli (from pot 4)
4. Villarreal CF (from pot 2)
