Whitecaps hire their third coach of the year.
Martin Rennie... "already only 2 wins away from the franchise wins record"

he won't start until next season.
so we have alame duck coach to finish the year out

not entirly lame duck with the organization ... Soehn is going to return to director of soccer operations next year and is key to personnel decisions so its not like the guys will stop playing for him (although I have read Soehn had no input in the coach search)

This Martin Rennie has taken a prodigiuous route to the MLS ... winning at every lower level of soccer in the states that he was involved in ... in only 3 years

I really hope they give the team some time together and not do an about face next year with a whole bunch of turnover. Lets not be Toronto for fucks sakes! It sounds like the international guys are happy to be in Vancouver. The worrisome thing is Rennie totally re-did the Carolina Railhawks when he got that job.

Ref in the US/Mexico tilt was piss poor. Jurgen has more coaching ability in his left pinky than Bradley had in his entire body.

Klinsman found his long lost son (and he has the same bad hair) > Brek Shea is going to soar under jurgens coaching style

I know he's young, but Agudelo needs to be in the starting lineup.

Agreed. I think the jury is still out on Davies, and Altidore doesn't seem to have lived up to the potential (still time though). The main problem with the US is that our 2 best players (Donovan/Dempsey) play the same position so one of them (Dempsey) is forced to play out of position.

Arrgh... Spurs game postponed due to the riots. Crap!

Spurs vs. Everton called off following riots - sportsnet.ca WAP

Tottenham's opening match of the Premier League season against Everton on Saturday was postponed following disorder in the London neighbourhood that sparked a wave of rioting and looting across England.

The decision to call off the Tottenham game was taken Thursday by the league after being discussed at a meeting of the government's emergency committee, known as COBRA.

But while there are still safety concerns in the area around Tottenham's White Hart Lane stadium, the remaining nine topflight matches this weekend are set to go ahead, including two others in London.

Love Keano. The guy can finish that's for sure. Ireland is actually my number 1 team for soccer, I have citizenship in Ireland (Father is fresh off the boat) so I'm rooting big time for them to make the Euros after being robbed of the World Cup by a bunch of insubordinate cry babies.

I can't watch the MLS because for the most part I find it terrible, but I do like the idea of it. You get a lot of young guys coming out of colleges in the US and a ton of guys that maybe got overlooked by the Euro clubs coming out of the Latin American countries, combined with vets from Europe that can mentor them and help sell the game here, it's becoming a farm system for the big clubs.

thats the reality of soccer worldwide though

it can be argued that aside from the EPL, La Liga and Serie A ... close to every pro soccer league in the world is a farm system for the big clubs

I thought I saw on Disney's bottom line that an agreement had been reached. Arsenal receives 40 million?

Los Ninos with some different fortunes upon joining EPL teams

Fernando Torres: been with Chelsea FC for 7 months > 1 goal scored
