MLS sucks. End of story. I really don't pay close enough attention to the MLS anymore or pay close enough attention to The Championship League (2nd behind the Permier league in England). My guess be would be they could, but its a guess mostly

I couldn't give a shit about the EPL and I never will, but the Seattle Sounders have really grown on me this last season and I've started to become a big fan. They're a fun team to watch.

Id say the top teams of MLS would be around the level of the teams bottom of the table in EPL battling against relegation or teams at the top of the Championship battling for promotion. The league is comparable to B level euro league like Switzerland/Belgium/Denmark.

kind of a catch 22 for MLS teams to play teams like Real Madrid who are out of this stratosphere in terms of payroll spending. The club fan cant wait to see these superstars live but the casual NA sports fan (soccer hater) sees the bad losses and then points to how bad the MLS is

well yah ... aside from the DP's the MLS teams have, their salary cap is 2.3 million per team so yah what are people expecting

watched last nights game and the galaxy players were doing alot of ball watching when they werent trying to play as individuals looking for a euro contract (ahem ... Juninho ... ahem)

tomorrow night Vancity v Mancity and Im going and I cant wait (hope the grass field is playable) *praying*

on beckham ... he's always been an accumulator ... at best, hes a clumsy tackler at worst, hes just not very smart

on Hassli ... its all reputation and he's gotten one pretty quick ... mls refs see that bald headed tatted up big body storming around and clattering into guys and they nail him ... meanwhile he takes a shitload of abuse and kicks to the ankles and the other guy gets nothing

yup the more you look at it the more it looks like he did it on purpose ... not just to avoid having to travel across continent to play the leagues basement team on fieldturf but also to wipe his yellow card slate clean

its not the first time a player has taken a card on purpose to erase his accumulation and serve his suspension on his (or his teams) terms:
