It's a funky season for Pythagorean records in the AL - other than the Blue Jays, look at the A's who I believe have the worst record in the AL. There isn't a whole lot separating teams this year.They'll be better than that if you buy into Pythagorean records (expected W-L based on that absurd run differential they have) and the projections. And honestly, the division is so wide open, they might not need to be much better than an 88 win team to win it.
And it's not even like they've got good pitchers underachieving. There simply isn't much pitching talent in their rotation.
