That's a natural feeling. In this country, people/families move a lot, but I've always felt close to home. This place isn't much to look at from the outside, but damn it...it's MY shithole!!

My Dad's lived in Pittsburgh his whole 55 years...we'll see how he handles the move. I'll be pretty alone in town now, I think that's what's freaking me out. I mean I spent college six hours from them, only saw them Thanksgiving, Christmas, and in the summer, etc. But now I'd have to fly, and in college I was living with all my friends basically, so it wasn't a big deal. Now I'm pretty darn alone. I need a dog, dangit.

No state income tax in Florida is a rather tempting reason to move, especially if you make a decent amount of coin.

They're doing it for: warm, warm, warm...warm, warm, and my dad can fish every day. Not even sure they know about the income tax.

Random, but hey, it's the bored thread. Parents may finally be moving to FLA, as my dad is close to locking down a job. Is it wrong that I realllllly don't want them to go, even if I know it'll be best for their health/happiness? Any semblance of a security blanket would vanish, and I'd be like an official adult, and that's scary as hell. Also I'm overly sentimental and lived in their house from the age of 3-23...and man that's gonna bum me out.

Not wrong, a pretty normal reaction. And remember on the upside will be to visit them this time of year when Florida beckons us in the frozen north.

I'm starting to come around a bit, and hey, they'll be close to Disney. No one likes growing up, except kids who think it's cool.

Apparently my avatar was not safe for work because it had two women wearing shirts and pants talking to each other. Scandalous.

Hey, everybody.

Oh, they're great, dash. I took an early weekend from work. Came across SportsHoopla in a Google search and I figured I'd drop by. I guess I haven't been here since March 4, 2014! Yikes!

Calgary's on quite the roll.

They have put themselves in a pretty nice position, but it's going to be a dogfight over the last 30 games (including an extended road trip when Calgary hosts the Brier). Ducks are also looking great this season, Getzlaf for the Hart?

With Boudreau behind the bench, I fully expect a Division Title and an early Summer.

So the Padres have signed James Shields to a four year deal

We'll see if they become a real good team or end up being like the Marlins and Jays in previous years when they spend all kinds of money and then it blows up in their face

But at least they look like they're going to be competitive
