You guys know I want a train set for Christmas, right?

First you have to answer this question: do you believe in St Nick Lidstrom? If you do, loki wants to tell you something...............:D

Tell the kid in private. Tell him to keep up appearances for Mommy and Daddy and have the epiphany all on his own next year.

if the kid is not mature enough (at 12) to figure out the Santa thing, he sure as hell won't be mature enough to keep a secret from mommy and daddy.

again... best to stay out of it.

I have a 12 year old daughter and she knows that Santa is not real (not that my wife or I have said anything), but she plays along for the benefit of my 8 year old daughter (who I think doesn't believe in Santa anymore either, but is probably just being coy).

I have a feeling other kids at school are letting the cat out of the bag. Just a hunch.

I dunno, but kids nowadays learn a lot more amongst their peers than at home. The kid is going to find out sooner or later, either that or the whole school is wacked in the head.

I have a really hard time believing the kid still actually believes in Santa.

12?

I think my teachers in school even joked about Santa not being real by the time we were 12...

I taught my kids that a morbidly obese man commits millions of felonies each year due to an unhealthy obsession with making kids happy, and his clandestine operation utilizes unpaid slave labor to churn out toys for all the middle class and wealthy kids in the world. Is that OK?

Really, people are considering not letting their kids ever believe in Santa? Bunch of grinches!

Kids liked being tricked. Because afterwards they get to be in on the trick.
