I got to name my daughter and my wife gets to name my next, which unless the doctor is wrong, is a boy. So who knows what my wife will choose. I hope it's not Scarlett. That would just be weird (for a boy).

Any suggestions for a boy that I can pass along to my wife? No, I'm not suggesting Alex to her. Though that was her first comment when I told her about Smith. Not, "who does he play for?" or "what position does he play?" But rather, "that's a great name." We weren't married yet so I wasn't thinking much about that.

Surprisingly I found myself wanting a girl. It is our first and we opted to find out the sex at birth. On cloud 9 as you can imagine. Can't wait to get her in niner gear.

My baby's going to be a girl. The doctor last time thought it was a boy, but the angle was wrong and my baby was in a position that made it hard to see. That wasn't the doctor's excuse, the doctor told me from the beginning that it wasn't a good angle to predict from and it was too early last time to really see.

She'll be my second, I have a daughter who is now two years old.

You don't love your boss? Just kidding, I'd feel weird, too. My wife liked the name Alex before we met, too, just like I liked the name Sarah. She told me she was considering it if this one were a boy. Sports have a limited role in my life so I would be ok with that name. I can separate the two, as I don't actually love Alex Smith (you have to take my word for it. ) but I would love my son. She gets to decide the name because I chose the first. Joint name for the third I suppose (we both had/have unlimited veto powers, though).

I like Alex as a person, and I admire the way he handled himself. So Alex wouldn't have been bad on that end. More on my boss' end. All day he would say "you named your boy after mine" or "you want to be just like me". But I dont want to be a douche bag so...

But again congrats and let's keep the fan base growing!

Congrats to you for your daughter. My first was born on the 22nd of April and my next girl is due October 14th. Look out for your second girl on October 12th, 2014.
