It's an odd choice. Larroquette both gives it credibility and makes it a tougher sell. It's been 30 years, maybe easier to just remake it from scratch? Who knows, maybe it will be ok.

My wife didn't know what the Bad News Bears was, so I showed her the trailer for the movie. I was pretty shocked right around the 1:11 mark. I knew the movie was edgy for the time, but didn't remember it being THAT edgy. Yikes.

I'm watching Skin: A History Of Nudity In The Movies (its interesting in addition to all the nudity) and it mentioned a statue and art model, Audrey Munson, that did early nude work in movies. I looked her up and saw she lived from 1891 – 1996 and thought "good for her". Then I read:

She remained in the St. Lawrence State Hospital for the Insane in Ogdensburg, where she was treated for depression and schizophrenia, for 65 years, until her death at the age of 104

Yikes!

Watched the new Wonder Woman on HBO Max last night.

No spoilers obviously, but it was terrible. Like really terrible. Plot holes galore, scenes that had no narrative connection to the rest of the movie, about as subtle as a lobotomy, mediocre CGI, and about 45 minutes too long.

Watched Soul last night and it looks like that won the xmas day blockbuster battle. Kids tapped out ... but there was more adult crying to finish off the day
