Anthony Calvillo recorded his 400th career TD pass last night as the Als roll over Edmonton 27-4. The Eskimos had an impressive -1 yards of rushing for the game (no, that's not a typo).

how about Winnipeg ... they get their NHL team back and their football team leads the league at 5 -1 and suddenly they start calling themselves "SWAGGERVILLE"

???

I think that's mainly the Blue Bombers defense, but as Brent Johnson says, "sell those t-shirts while you can". Should be a good game Saturday night.

Solomon Elimimian is the real deal, I wonder if he'll be headed to the NFL next season.

I remember reading a story about him where he wasnt known for the "kill shot" when he played at Hawaii. Suddenly, he comes to the cfl and he's blowing guys up. The gyst of the story was if he played that way in college he would have already been on an NFL roster (even though hes a bit undersized to be an NFL LB)

Stamps beat the Riders 45-35 tonight. Nice to go into the bye week with a 'W'.

Hey Wally, it's long past time to can Jacques Chapdelaine as offensive coordinator, he's terrible.

Leos lose 30-17 to Winnipeg tonight to drop to 1-6 on the season.

for a grey cup hosting year this is totally embarrassing. I cant believe the way the last 2 seasons (3 really) have started. I think Jacques has to go just to start. then see how they respond. Brutal. Brutal Brutal

Well, we currently have three teams with a 1-6 record (Toronto, Sask. and BC) and one of those teams are going to make the playoffs.

and they will make in a last-second rouge.

I had taped the game to watch today, but having heard the "anything that could go wrong did go wrong" soundbites, that was an easy delete.

Braley Bowl is setting up for a doozy in a couple of weeks (combined 2-12)

It's the Basement Bowl tonight in CFL action as the 1-6 Riders square off against the 1-6 Argos in Toronto. One of the few times a year that I actually cheer for a Toronto-based team.

Braley Bowl could conceivably be two 1-7 teams next week.

Argos prevail over the Riders 24-18 last night. Tonight, BC is in Edmonton to take on the Eskimos.

Saskatchewan cans head coach (Marshall) and Offensive Co-ordinator (Berry).
let's see if BC can also avoid 1-7 tonight.

so far so fgood for BC. I don't want to jinx anything, but Edmonton looks just awful in the first half.
score is 20-1 at the whistle, first downs have been about 13-3 BC

Geroy Simon moves into 3rd place all time for receiving yards (passes Darren Flutie) - 14,384 yards

Lulay has developed some pretty good chemistry with newcomer Arland Bruce. that's a good sign.
It's tough to say whether BC was so very good tonight, or Edmonton was just so awful.
whatever it was, it has been great to see.

lol... 3rd and 11 with 11 minutes left, Edmonton takes a timecount violation (at home) to make 3rd and 16 - coach leaves the offense on the field, and they take about a 10 yard sack for the turn-over on downs.
I think that's 8 sacks for BC tonight. might as well pad the stats when you can!
