1 pt. by Esks tonight lowest ever at Commonwealth.
Previous low was Oct.9-78 when B.C beat them 15-3.

5 total points in the last two games for Edmonton - I never get tired of watching a team from Edmonton getting pummeled.

just heard some stuff on Fantuz in Chicago ... hes not making the team ... theres no way ... too slow, never played the american rules, cfl rule allowing motion gave him the ability to hit the line of scrimmage with speed and thereby helped him excel.

because of the lockout, teams only have to cut down to 80 players by Aug 30th so its conceivable the Bears could keep fantuz at camp til then and beyond to play scout team against the Bears first team defense ... ie training camp fodder

so he can stay down there with pretty much no shot at making the team and be target practice for Urlacher and Peppers thus risking injury and a pretty healthy cfl pay cheque or he can ask the Bears to cut him

answer seems pretty simple to me!

CFL offensive player of the week!

Geroy got snubbed (lol)

Manny Arceneaux potentially coming back to the Lions if the Vikings decide they dont care about their signing bonus investment and decide against putting him on the practice roster

would be a pretty deadly receiving corps for the Lions

/too bad they can barely pass block

edit:// sounds like Arceneauxs agent will explore all other nfl options before returning to the cfl

wouldn't NFL practice roster pay more than a CFL player anyway?

he's not making the season long practice roster ... and because he's a cdn in a ratio league, his cfl salary is pretty good

Still won't be enough to help the Riders, that team was in a free-fall in the latter part of last season (which has continued into this season) and got lucky on a cold day in Calgary last November.

idk ... we'll see ... i have never been a fan of Doug Berry ... his play calling is worse than Chapdelaines and he was butting heads with Durant so lets see if Ken Miller can get his qb happy again

They need Wes Cates back to get some semblance of a running game, Fantuz will help if he returns, but they are missing key playmakers on defense as well.

trickster Brad Sinopoli trying to work his way up the depth chart I bet

Never thought of that. Drew Tate tired of being a backup?!?

Big game against Montreal on Saturday. A good friend of Stamps receiver Johnny Forzani's died this week (guy was clowning around on an escalator, fell and landed on his head, dropped into a deep coma and the family decided to take him off life support).

Some embarassment for Henry Burris - Looks like someone might have hacked his Twitter account and put a disparaging comment regarding women out there. The tweet has been removed.

good thing Gilbert Arenas isn't in the CFL.
