Not sure why, probably because they are essentially the same Cusack movie in a different location, but I always get these two mixed up.Underrated movie...
Growing up I really liked it. My wife never saw it so we watched it about 10 years ago and I wondered why I liked it so much as a kid. Its ok but kind of a mess. Cusack hated it and was contractually bound to do One Crazy Summer so that was probably awkward.Underrated movie...
Same writer and director, I see a lot of similarities. Not sure why, probably because they are essentially the same Cusack movie in a different location, but I always get these two mixed up.
There were a couple good reasons to love that movie.Speaking of movies released in 1985, this was and still is one of my favorite movies.

Matthew Modine in a singlet? LolI think I enjoyed 'Vision Quest' for the same reasons.

Early cable classic, it was on all the time.Speaking of movies released in 1985, this was and still is one of my favorite movies. It's got it all- Linda Fiorentino, paintball, espionage, spy stuff, and a killer soundtrack. Did I mention Linda Fiorentino?

Never heard of it, I'll see if my wife wants to watch "a movie" this weekend and just put that on.a lost gem from 1984.
plot: guy gets to college does everything to try to get laid. does not work, until he invents an unstoppable aphrodisiac
bonus: lots of real good 80's boobies
bonus 2: most of the soundtrack was the Buzzcocks
meta-bonus 3: during a montage scene of lots of nekkid wimmens, and amazing song is playing, by an unknown band called Dream 6. I heard that voice and was floored. Dream 6 turned into Concrete Blonde, and that song was released on one of their albums 9 years later. I'll drop it in the music thread
weird: the star of the movie never had a credited role in any other film
