What's this about an employer not being able to read e-mails with non-related work content? It's their computer and their e-mail servers and they can pretty much read anything they want to. I mean, that's the why it is in communist Canada :D

Was the same when I lived in Sweden. Limited personal use of a work computer (phone, etc.) is actually protected by law under most circumstances (basically, as long as it wouldn't be unsafe to do so), but even then it was clearly stated that there was no expectation of privacy.

Of course, "limited" is a subjective term, but it was essentially that you couldn't get canned for checking the news, calling the babysitter, etc from your company devices.
