It's been 40 years since "Deliverance" was filmed in Rabun County, Ga. Tourism in the region has boomed in that time, but not everyone welcomes the attention.

Sadly in real life he is broke and works at a Walmart in Clayton, Rabun County.

That area has exploded with tourism, namely Tallulah Gorge and Sky Valley (basically the GA version of Highlands HC). You would have thought he could have figured out a way to make a buck or two off that scene.

In Cleveland, there is the house that they used for the exterior shots in "A Christmas Story". Across the street from there is a gift shop and usually every day there is a guy there signing autographs and talking to people. The guy who delivered the "Major Award".
