Side note: Growing up in Baltimore and spending the majority of my life in the metroplex of Balto/DC, I have to say how surprised I was at how friendly everyone was down in a small town on the Eastern shore. I had never stopped in this place more than refueling on the way to Ocean City. Beautiful place, nice people, wildlife refuge and all the history you could care to learn about Harriet Tubman. Plus, less than an hour to the ocean.

I had read that they filmed Deliverance in sequence as the shoot was so dangerous that they needed the option of amending the script on the fly in case anyone died.
