My wife and I may be devastating regions by our vacation choices.

2018 - Trip to Dominica planned, hurricane wipes it out. Went to Belize instead.
2019 - Trip to Punta Cana, DR planned and people start dying at resorts. Being scared to drink the booze wasn't how we wanted to spend the honeymoon. We go to Playa Del Carmen instead.
2020 - Alaskan Cruise scheduled, coronavirus breaks out devastating the cruise industry and murder hornets show up in several trip ports. Trip canceled.

So seems likely there won't be a vacation out-of-town this year barring things changing rapidly.

Looking forward to 2021....

If you decide to make another attempt but the cruise industry hasn't recovered, I absolutely recommend it. If you don't mind spending time in a car - the distance between places is actually a little hard to fathom - the area within about a 6 hour radius of Anchorage is astounding.
