David Clarkson freaked my son the hell out last night.
So, we met David during the Thanksgiving tourney and he took a bit to chat with my son about his plight of getting cut. He was very positive. He even joked that we needed to find a realtor and move to his school district. He had seen my son practice all fall, and said he was surprised when he heard he didn't make the team. I thought that was pretty awesome. It was a huge boost for my son.
Last night, his school played my son's school. My son went to cheer on his buddies and was standing near the locker room and waiting for them to come out when Clarky put his arm around him, addressed him by name and asked how he's been. They talked for a few minutes.
My son couldn't believe he remembered him.
The two injured players and the one ineligible player was standing nearby and they were all like "you KNOW him?"
