Saw the previews last night when we went to see Sound of Freedom. I wanted to see Oppenheimer after seeing the trailers. I almost never go to movies.

The competition next weekend will be Barbie. We're headed for a long dry spell.

One of the best movies I've ever seen. I recommend you see it in an IMAX theater though.
Great actors: Cillian Murphy, Florence Pugh, Robert Downey, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Rami Malek, Kenneth Branagh, Gary Oldman, Tom Conti.
And the great Christopher Nolan wrote the screenplay, and directed it........also co-producer.
I guess Hollywood, does actually make films, for adults. (instead of movies just made for 12 year olds.)

Gonna be interesting to see how the liberals and left Hollywood reacts to this one.

Your black Mermaid was shit, your Snow White looks like a flop, your dumbasses cast a douche feminist that peaked at 18 as Belle, everyone agrees at this point Ray Rice was screwed over (if you're not please find the nearest cliff and walk off), lol...

But the movie is about nuking a bunch of Asians. Course Asians are privileged so we don't care about them. Nuke Africa and it'd be a different story.

Oppenheimer looks like a good film Zero surprise it's getting the recognition and not being paid off by the fags at Disney.

Movie lives up to the hype and more. It's a 3 hour movie that is mostly just talking yet it doesn't drag one bit. Nolan is masterful keeping you engaged the entire time.

Agreed. They kept hitting the theme of his demons for producing such a weapon. That got a bit much at the end for me. But was just a minor distraction. Overall, fantastic.

Good movie.

I think my only complaint is that these actors recreate a fascinating time period and you don't get enough time with them.

I really like that Nolan has his style and tries to use it to make movies that still demand the big screen. The sound in this movie is all over the place and I'm a fan

Im not really sure you're supposed to take away that this about Oppenheimer. This is about the audience watching the movie dealing with scientists and governments that seem to be self absorbed and capable of ending the world.

Kinda thinking my Nolan ranking at the moment is:

1. Dark Knight
2. Prestige
3. Oppenheimer
4. Inception
5. Batman Begins
6. Memento
7. Dunkirk
8. Interstellar
9. Tenet
10. Dark Knight Rises

I probably need to set aside some time to watch the rest and rewatch them. Interstellar in particular I think needs a rewatch.

One of the best movies of the year, if not THE best! The cast knocked it out the park and despite it being three hours long it moves at a nice pace.

the problem with all historical movies is that they expect the audience to know something about the topic... this was a biopic, so it expected the audience to know more about the subject than a normal historical movie...

sure the movie was great, but it was certainly not targeted to the majority...

i also didnt think that the 4 different timelines(not including the last scene) work as well as intended.... even with the coloring to show the different timelines...

Thanks for the list. Just saw the trailers of Prestige, Memento and Tenet and plan to see them. Tenet looks wild.

Memento was great. I watched it at a time I was very unplugged from new movies, so I rented it, not having any idea what it was.

I wish I could watch every movie with that level of ignorance going in.
