The number 1 movie of the year is a female led movie after all.

Thats a bullseye right there. Top three movies are Barbie, Mario, and a Christopher Nolan movie. Captain Marvel is failing because Marvel is slowly failing.

From what I've read, this movie is not pushing any particular agenda, unless you're talking about it having a diverse female cast (which to me is not a problem). The movie is paying for past mistakes in shows like She-Hulk and even the first Capt Marvel, which went heavy on some agenda points, trying to pander to a female audience that never gave them any attention.

Q just thinks every thing has an agenda these days. He hates women and doesn't want to see any female superheroes.

Wonder Woman did fine

Because she’s part of the trinity and close to levels of fame as Mario and Barbie (even when the movie wasn’t that good)

There might be some merit to simply culling all of the minor superhero characters and focusing on the major ones for movies. Its just that the MCU was born from Marvel working with what Sony(?) didnt take. At some point, Fantastic Four, Xmen, and Spider-man were the most essential Marvel IPs and Iron Man was B list. Guardians of the Galaxy was C list. Captain Marvel is somewhere in-between. Or was. At this point it seems pretty bottom tier.

I don't think they should scrap lesser-known superheroes. At some point, The Guardians of the Galaxy, Shazam and The suicide squad where completely unknown properties that now have some following. The key is obviously quality and to keep the budgets in check. If the franchise overall is in good health and is being well received, it would be easier to successfully introduce new characters.

I also think that they can successfully use female superheroes beyond the already popular ones. They just have to accept and respect the fact that, despite the failed efforts to change it, the superhero movies audience remains largely male. That means that they can't do overly feminist "fk men, yas kween" movies intended solely for a female audience. The first "Wonder Woman" is a great example of this done well, with a male supporting cast that was portrayed as capable and useful, led by Chris Pine's Steve Trevor.

The best selling video game this year, funny enough, is Hogwarts Legacy. You'd never know it if you just followed gaming influencers because many outlets wouldn't cover the game much because of JK Rowlings views on Transgender people. The mainstream critics did give it a review for reviews sake but it was nomination for 0 game awards this year. Conversely, Spider-man 2 was nominated for just about everything and in terms of game design is in the same ballpark but Spider-man 2 is filled with left wing virtue signaling. There is nothing wrong with that but Hogwarts Legacy isnt even remotely right wing nor is there really even a right wing gaming space.

The gaming space is actually more political (and further left) than the superhero movie space.
