Christopher Nolan's next film, Oppenheimer, is a biopic of J. Robert Oppenheimer (to be played by Cillian Murphy), the so-called "father of the atomic bomb," and is scheduled to release, as the below poster indicates, on Friday, July 21, 2023:

I want to see this. But my 16 rear old son also thinks he wants to see this... He thinks Dune was the worst movie ever made, he vlluntarily went to bed instead of finIshing watching it. Said all they did was talk and nothing happened. He does kind of likes John Wick movies, but thinks there's too much talking and not enough action.

The way they are advertising this movie is silly. Every ad, every poster, every commercial; they make if look like this is some action packed Micheal Bay movie.

There’s going to be prolonged nudity and sex scenes I read. That seems weird but I guess Nolan knows what he’s doing.

Difference being, for me anyway, is that this movie is based upon real people and very important historical events... I didn't make it through Dune either.

Right, that's why I wanted to see it. As a biopic. Not expdctinb a summer blockbuster action movie. But that seems like the way they're marketing it. My son legit told me he "had just heard it was a movie about 'some famous bomb maker' so he thought it would be cool."

He already binge drinking at 16????

Keanu had so little dialogue in the last movie it made headlines. Those movies are all action and no talking(not a bad thing at all).

Its almost certainly going to be a heavy favorite.

Currently on metacritic it has 46 out of 47 critics liking it with about 20 calling it a masterpiece.
