Don't know how much longer I'll get to use this - Chef Kipper serves up yet another 'W'.

THAT'S a crucial point. Just gotta go get one more.

They guys just don't give up. This game was everything I was hoping to see out of them. Attack attack attack, and don't panic when luck kicks you in the nuts.

This is a GOOD Ducks team. And they are hanging with them. I am a happy guy right now.

TYUTIN!

That's 49 points, sole possession of 8th.

And two out of sixth.

Huge win for the BJs.

I'll admit it, I've only started watching them because I picked up Bob in my hockey pool. But it's been a fun time to start watching.

You can fold up the tent year-after-year and instill a losing culture like that greasy organization up north or you can buckle down and eek out a win that will likely cost you a couple of draft positions. I wouldn't be surprised if the Flames pass the Oilers before its all said and done.

Whatever happens, I'm proud of the boys and their effort of late.

Yup.

I think back to the Sens going from 2nd to 6th in the 2011 draft and hearing moans from some Sens fans. Wrong.

Turns out they ended up with some pride, spirit and Mika Zibanejad. He's looking like he could be as good as anyone in that draft at this point. Sometimes the hockey Gods punish the tankers and reward the fighters Dash.

Nothing helps a young team like a dose of winning.

Exactly.

Had this argument several times last season with folks on the Wild's FB page who wanted them to throw in the towel down the stretch to get a higher pick.

I really have to wonder just how interested Parise & Suter would have been in coming to Minny if they had seen a team that packed it in whenever a playoff seed didn't seem to be a matter of course as the season drew to a close.

The sign of a truly great cook is if they can prepare and plate a meal with a dart dangling from his or her lips the entire time - the longer the ash the better.

I remember going to a roadside diner as a kid and seeing the cook with over half his smoke as an ash and never once did it fall on the plate he was preparing. An indelible image for a kid let me tell you.

Come to think of it now, maybe that was a relatives house and not a diner.

Columbus in the playoffs instead of Dallas and Detroit?!? Oh yeah, I'm on board that train.

/BJ's still have a ton of work to do starting tonight in LA

I really and truly expected this team to finish bottom five in the league and anything they get from here on out is extra gravy. All I hoped for at this season was a team that put in the work. And they have been just that. And they've gotten ridiculous fucking goaltending. That's a bonus.

I said before last night's game that it was going to show the true character of the team. And it did. Everything that could break a team happened and they never quit. Fluke goals, stupid penalties, solid opponent with pressure, big saves on the other side, key injuries (Get well, Niki!), OT...

They really stepped up. It was a joy to watch. And tonight is just as big. And I will say this, if Jack Johnson plays tonight as he did last night, the "C" is no longer a question.

Realistically, they need 5 of the last 8 points ahead of them to make it. Detroit now needs 6 of the last 10 on their table. This ain't over.
