If this is what the Avs are going to do they should just move him - I don't get why they feel this way about him - he's a great player - if they want to do this, then the Flyers should offer a package including Brayden Schenn for him - ROR does it all, he's really good offensively and a wizard defensively

I was thinking earlier, would the Panthers move the 1st overall pick for ROR? Even though the Panthers have depth at center, maybe you move someone to the wing - he's great defensively and the Panthers need that, plus he gives them more offense - it solves both issues for the Panthers - and the Avs could then select Aaron Ekblad, who would instantly help the Avs defense - and the Avs may then be able to re-sign Paul Stastny

Jets also filed arbitration for Michael Frolik, they didn't want to pay him the $1.9 million so they must be working on an extension most likely

I think he could get something like that if he was willing to structure it more like the Timonen deal. Say $3M base plus various bonuses if he plays a certain number of games.

That way Markov has a chance to get his money and Montreal gets a bit of insurance in the event that Markov gets hurt or decides the legs just aren't there anymore.
