Jason Spezza, 686 NHL games played, 687 career points. Pretty rare to find a point a game player available these days in the NHL.

Blues would be a good fit, they need more offense

Also it wouldn't surprise me if a team like Nashville inquires on him, I'm sure Peter Laviolette wouldn't mind a guy like him - he only has one year left on his contract so I think more teams might ask than normal

I was thinking the Blues would be a good fit as well - Could you see a Patrik Berglund for Jason Spezza swap? I've been waiting a few seasons for Berglund to break out in a big way and it just never seems to happen (guy certainly is talented, but questions about work ethic abound).

Apparently Oshie for Spezza almost happened at the deadline - I would have to think if the Sens move Spezza that they're going to want a center in return - I don't think Ottawa is the right fit for Berglund, the Sens would get shafted big time

If I'm the Sens I'd ask for Oshie

Maybe Anaheim can do the Sens a favor and return their 10th overall pick to them in a package for Spezza? Or maybe it's not worth that much?

Isn't Berglund a centre as well? I don't watch all that many Blues games, but I thought he played centre as well as wing.

/I don't think the Blues want to part with Oshie, he's a heck of a player who's just entering his prime years.

I think Berglund's played some center before but he's not a guy the Sens should pursue

Eugene Melnyk has screwed this team over, if they were able to spend to the cap they'd be a borderline cup contender every year - it's sad how the Sens are trending downward

The Spezza thing reminds me a bit of "you can't fire me, I quit!" I'd certainly welcome him on the Pens, but probably not a fit for multiple reasons.

Real_ESPNLeBrun: Further to the 5 names @DarrenDreger put out on Florida coaching list, Tallon also says to include Tom Renney as well on there

Murray will one day learn to not say anything to that guy ever again.

So, an even swap?

I think he winds up in San Jose. No real reason why, I just think that if they do send Jumbo packing, they would be willing to pay a bit more for Spezza.

oh I think this was on purpose and expected to make the sens look better in this.

Jumbo would take more than Spezza I think, I know Spezza is good but Joe is better. I would think at least a prospect or draft pick would go with him

Spezza doesn't seem like the type the Sharks are looking for, it just doesn't seem right

Probably right. Because leaking to the media helped so much during the Heater and Alfie debacles.
