Worried they won't be able to hold onto Hartsburg, but Richards earned this contract. Dan Hinote should be getting one here soon as well. They want to keep Hartsburg, but he coul dbe in the running for a head coaching gig.

If Hartsburg were to go elsewhere, who would they replace him with?

Hartsburg didn't fare very well as head coach of the Flames, but then again, the team he had wasn't all that great either.

He got canned during his first and only year in Ottawa(48 games into 08-09 season) - Sens were 17-24-7 under him

Blake Comeau says he would like to re-sign in Cbus

he says his agent is having a hard time getting in touch with Jarmo :noidea: (this part is the good news btw)

Hinote would probably move up to the "Associate" coach role and possibly Chris Clark (Dev coach) or Andrew Cassells (Lives in town, coaches Junior Jackets teams) could move in.

There was talk of a spot being offered to Kevin Dineen when he lost his job in Florida. He is well liked here and his brother is a scout.

Hey, maybe they will hire Disco Dan. Him and Richards have worked together before. Might be good for Disco to learn a strategy other than "Put Malkin and Crosby together".

:suds:

All going to depend on if Tropp and Frattin want to stay. Both are younger, cheaper and RFA. He certainly will be looking at a pay cut to stay. And I'd prefer Skille if one of those two doesn't stay.

Blake "all offensive plays die on my stick" Comeau

I would take him as a fourth liner. If it means that Jared Boll never gets another shift, I'd take James Kneel.

Okay, maybe not. But I would give it serious thought.

"What? Did I hit your head?"
"You know you did"

Already posted somewhere?

Arguably the greatest Latvian hockey player ever is hanging up his skates.

Defenseman Sandis Ozolinsh, a seven-time NHL All-Star and Stanley Cup champion, announced his retirement from professional hockey on Tuesday, per Latvian news outlet Sporta Centrs.

I would love to be in on one of his chalk talks.

The next logic step from playing in Edmonton is to go to a Siberian town. I mean, they are climatically and culturally similar, right?

At least you won't have to deal with Tier Two jerseys falling on the ice

Half the teams in the KHL would be willing to trade rosters with Kevin Lowe...
