James Neal, big part of Pittsburgh's problem?

Is James Neal's act getting old? He's a player from a character standpoint that Penguins ownership group feels is part of the problem right now, multiple sources say.

Neal has one of those personalities, attitude problems where many inside the organization cast doubts that a new coach would be able to get him to play with more discipline to his game. One feeling on Neal is that he is what he is.

Red flags again surfaced for Neal in the post-season as he took a number of unnecessary penalties and the immaturity and arrogance in his game still hasn't gone away. One knock on Neal is he struggles to create his own shot and that was a problem for him when he wasn't playing on a line with Evgeni Malkin or Sidney Crosby. Without Malkin or Crosby he was an ordinary player.

I think they move him. But expect a large price in return.

James Neal for Nail Yakupov + Jeff Petry (he's just as good as PK Subban)

TB would be a nice addition to their top-6. Especially if they re-sign Cally. Similar style of play from those 2.

I think he's going to be a stud for the Kings:

His two years in Baie-Comeau:

2012-13: 67 GP, 40 G, 35 A, 75 PTS, 60 PIM, +29
Playoffs: 19 GP, 10 G, 9 AST, 19 PTS, 18 PIM
2013-14 53 GP, 23 G, 40 A, 63 PTS, 70 PIM +32
Playoffs: 22 GP, 7 G, 15 AST, 22 PTS, 14 PIM

Calling the Penguins a tire fire is absolutely laughable. The rumors of the demise of the team have been vastly over sold. Goodness gracious.

Well, Botchford would know what a tire fire is since he covers one every day in Vancouver

isnt Cobie still taking a shot at Pittsburgh with that statement (although its true about the Canucks)

Kind of, management is a tire fire but the product on the ice is still passable

Worried they won't be able to hold onto Hartsburg, but Richards earned this contract. Dan Hinote should be getting one here soon as well. They want to keep Hartsburg, but he coul dbe in the running for a head coaching gig.
