lol - Sportsnet is going to ask Brian Lawton what moves the Flames should make in 2014. This the same Brian Lawton that ran the Lightning into the ground as GM?

/Actually, listen to what he says and do the complete opposite...

Flames are still winless in their godawful third jerseys and have been shutout two consecutive games wearing those atrocities. I say collect them all and burn them.

An appropriate fate, really.

“@AAVickers: McGrattan said he or the team haven't heard anything regarding a potential hearing for his hit on Andrew Alberts last night. #Flames”

I think five plus a game was enough punishment considering it happened early in the 1st period. Refs simply blew the call (there was no elbow) and it was a shoulder-to-shoulder hit that unfortunately resulted in an injury to Andrew Alberts (who I hope will be okay).

I like Jeff Paterson, but I don't understand the purpose of this tweet. Is it supposed to poke fun at Tyler Ennis? The Sabres? Both? I mean Henrik Sedin has a whopping one more goal on the season than Tyler Ennis.

/Maybe I'm being obtuse again.

Yeah I was reading that tweet and I didn't really get it - it's not like 8 goals in 39 games is a bad thing, Joe Thornton, one of the best play makers in the league, doesn't even have 8 goals in 39 games or whatever

The fact that he put Ennis and Gretzky in the same sentence is ridiculous and dumb. Whether he meant it literally or not, just stupif.

I'm pretty sure his main intention was just to illustrate how prolific Gretzky was and how much the game has changed since the early 80's. It's difficult to do that in 140 characters or less, but it's not some of Paterson's best work (and he's a smart and funny guy).

Nick Kypreos (yes consider the source) is tweeting that Nazem Kadri is on the trading block.
