Not too many games on the schedule tonight. I am not sure if I am in a Buffalo Sabres haze but I did just realize the Blackhawks are 27-7-7 halfway through the season. Thats good.

All right - Hockey hair plus truculence for Stone Hands Nemisz - :thumb: for Burkie.

Boss knows that I hated the Nemisz pick as soon as it was announced (thanks Dutter). Nemisz played the role of Steve Rucchin on a powerhouse Windsor Spitfires team. Heck, he somehow conned his way onto a World Junior team for Canada and proceeded to stink it up. I remember saying at that time (must have been five years ago now) that he was slow and had hands of stone. Terrible 1st round pick.

Edit: I should really steer clear of Calgarypuck at times, there's a bunch of Nemisz fan boys who think this trade is terrble (yeah, they're really gonna miss his 5 goals and 9 points in 32 games in Abbotsford). Gimme a break.

Seems to be more trade activity brewing around the Hurricanes. Could be an interesting night.

I am interested in this. Apparently Jarmo spent an extra day in Raliegh after the Jackets came home.

Maple Leafs center Nazem Kadri and defenseman Jake Gardiner have attracted the most interest from other teams, and multiple league sources have told TFP that both players have been offered up in trade discussions.

According to one source, speaking on the basis of anonymity, the Leafs have inquired about Carolina Hurricanes center Jeff Skinner and may have been trying to work out a deal for the 21-year-old star.

However, the source also indicated that Carolina isn't likely to trade Skinner, unless the package being presented is too good for Rutherford to pass up.

I am excited to join the Calgary Flames, another first class organization. Can't wait to contribute everything I can to the team and city.

And here come the rumblings...

Does Yeo need to go?

I agree with the commenters who say that - if it happens - it will be Leipold who pulls the trigger, & not Fletcher.

Personally, I just don't know that you do this unless you're absolutely sure that you've got the perfect guy lined up to immediately grab the payers' attention & get their respect.

Penguins want Jet fuel - Winnipeg Free Press

Not sure how it would work money wise (though we save a ton of money with IR I guess...), but Evander Kane would be the dream. Not even sure where I'd put him...but...power forward for Sid or Geno? Yes. Very yes. Still likely a pipe dream, but I do love that he's on a cap friendly deal. Andrew Ladd is probably more likely to happen, and I'd welcome him as well. Be a great pick up.

When your team blows a 3 goal lead to the Islanders Ownership & the GM might want to consider a change.:D:

Is it already "Everyone's coming to the Pens (except a goalie)" time?

I hope Jack Johnson has his BFF Bag packed.
