Somebody desperate for a goalie easily would have. Same way guys like Giroux, Clarkson, Kessel got big deals this past off-season, so would have Hank.

who ?

the coilers? yah ... the king could attend eskimo runway shows there
the flyers? yah ... with all that cap room

this was the classic opportunity to get a hometown discount deal and sather fucked up yet another deal

Fonzee should get a cut of that deal as his system made Lundqvist look good. He's been riding that and the Olympic gold (which really has no bearing on the NHL) for awhile now.

King Lundy will look good again in Sochi ... he gets to play with the 38 inch long pads again as IIHF allows them

How? Multiple reports in the offseason said he would get AAV of over 9M+ per year, he settled for 8.5M. I'm fine with it.

You're lauging but do you know he's only making 1.625M more than he is now? With the cap going up, it wont hurt us as much as you guys think. He already makes 6.875M a season. It's not like he jumped up by 3M.

he's on the downside of his career at his age ... looking like/on pace that this will be the 3rd consecutive season where his gaa and save% will decline

and he's signed for that many more years for more money????

and you just know that Vigneault is licking his chops to recreate Schneider/Luongo redux ... its already starting with him playing Talbot so much

Rask's cap hit per season is 1.5 million less - Call me crazy, but I'd take Rask over King Henrik.

Sources say the NHL and Wayne Gretzky have reached a tentative deal to make him whole from the money he was owed in Phoenix... In lieu of the NHL lawsuit vs. Jerry Moyes being thrown out in October, NHL worked to compensate Gretzky directly... more to come

pretty amazing day for the Gretzkys

Wayne finally gets his money

AND

Dutch Gretzky ties his career high for point in a season with 8 !!!

So, the Blue Jackets have called up Mike McKenna from Springfield.

No word on Bobrovski's MRI.

Jonathan Quick is making 2.7 million less than Henrik Lundqvist per season

Mark my words, the other night will be the last time Talbot starts in back to back games again. Hank is the starter.
