Huh. Not sure how I feel about that one. The check wasn't particularly forceful, but at the same time there wasn't even an option to throw a legal check in that case.

I guess the Wheel keeps on spinning.

This is how I was thinking

I haven't viewed the Shanny video, but I agree with the two games simply for the fact that Westgarth did not have to make the hit on a player in a very vulnerable position. Also, since Westgarth is not a star player, you know he was going to get something.

TSN has been largely shut out of the blockbuster deal on NHL hockey broadcast rights, but it says it's hanging on to the Hockey Night in Canada theme.

The specialty sports TV channel says it has no plans to relinquish rights to the famous jingle, which it has been using to usher in its hockey broadcasts since 2008.

TSN to keep 'Hockey Night' theme tune - CBC News - Latest Canada, World, Entertainment and Business News

As for TSN, Disney won't pay blockbuster money for hockey.

Espns stake in tsn is minimal

Farhan lalji from tsn said dollar offer bell madewas the same

Sportsnet got cbc involved at the last second and tsn didnt and seems like this is what nhl wanted ... Continued cbc involvement

Rick DiPietro cut by Carolina Hurricanes farm club - ESPN

So long Ricky, we hardly knew ye.

As I am prone to do, I looked at the draft for that year to get a full hindsight 20/20 view. DiPietro first overall. Henrik Lundquist 205th overall.

Ouch.

Doug MacLean's first draft for Columbus. Got Rusty Klesla. After that, only two of the remaining 10 picks ever played a game in the NHL; Andrej Nedorost and Petteri Nummelin. :L

heard the lawyer on the radio say they have close to 200 former players already part of the class action suit

they only named 10 players as "sample" claimants because naming all of them on the initial filing would have pushed the document over 800 pages and thats apparently frowned upon by the courts :noidea:

Well I also don't think they'd name any of the well-known players right away either
