Saw an interesting stat that the Canucks are the 3rd lowest scoring team in the NHL. I warned you Canucks fan, welcome to Tortorella hockey! Now you know how we felt the last 3+ years.

meh its not on Torts style ... they struggled offensively under Vigneault the past couple years too for gods sakes

thats because they have been a 1 line team since after the cup run ... you want to point to something point to Kesler and a hollowed out bottom 6 that provides little to no offense ... theyre coming off a run of playing the best teams in the league (with the exception of FLorida) ... teams that are big heavy talented teams and theyre just showing they are not a top tier team compared to those trees ... no-one coming into this season thought otherwise

But were you this bad offensively under AV? You knew coming into this season you were going to be in a more defensive and grinding system, but with guys like Kesler and the Sedins, I still thought they would provide enough offense.

yah ... 3 guys :L

plus what has kesler done since scoring 41 in 2010-11 ... only bad local cell phone radio commercials

ask any canuck fan on these boards ... the story is the same even with the coaching change ... they dont have the horses ... they havent since the cup run ... these same low scoring defense first grind it out hockey games happened all the time with Vigneault the previous 2 seasons

Canucks had plenty of chances last night, it's just that they have no confidence these days, Booth could had easily had a couple last night (same with Kesler) and Burrows can't seem to get rid of that big goose egg in the goals column. Give credit to Scrivens though, he made some dandy saves last night.

11 pts after 25 games... It must really suck to be a Sabres fan.

WHOA Rusty Klesla on waivers:

He is welcome back. Marginally more expensive than Nikitin but better suited for the role. Him with Prout or Savard would be just fine with me.

Jackets did something weird a few days ago, and I am having a hard time figuring out why. They moved Horton to Long Term IR. I figured it's a cap thing, but why now? He's expected back in about 3 weeks. He's been taking part in team practices in a no contact jersey. Why wouldn't they have done that from the start?

Wondering if they have a deal in place for Gaborik and need the room in the short term.

Ryan Rishaug is reporting that Yakupov is not on the ice this morning for the Oil - Not sure if it is injury related or if something is afoot?

I would rather have Rusty Klesla on the blueline than Chris Butler. That said, I wouldn't be surprised to see Edmonton claim him.
