Should Miller be preparing to take his talents to South Beach?

Even if Thomas recovers, he's pretty well done and Markstrom, while having a huge upside is still pretty raw. There are a lot of goalies hurt, but no one else should really want Miller because when their guys come back that's a lot of salary sitting on the bench. Rinne, Schneider, and Lundy are all guys who are a fair amount better than Miller.

And Backstrom is more than capable enough to handle duties while Harding is out.

Seems to me since he already nixed Edmonton, Florida might be his only option.

I'm sure he would happily go to Pittsburgh, Boston, San Jose, or Chicago too. That's just my partial list of teams that should have a good chance at a Cup.

Beauchemin?s open ice hit on Anisimov Video - NHL VideoCenter

For comparison, the hit on Anisimov by Beauchemin is in this package.

Two nearly identical hits. The big difference being that Anismov got up and kept going.

Beauch didn't make contact with the head whereas (I think) Dubi's shoulder pad might have caught Koivu on the chin a little bit. And Dubi's hit was a little more late than Beauch's hit - otherwise, not much difference. I don't know if Dubi's hit warrants anything more than it got and maybe even the five minutes was a little harsh - I think it was 2 for interference.

I don't care if it's a good hard hit - if it makes contact with the head it in today's game cannot be clean. The game has evolved whether we like it or not.
