Damn, 5 goals now for the Ducks, and they're outshooting the Rags 28-13.

I think Biron is still shell shocked, and that's why Lundy is still in the game?

Safe to assume the coach swap by the Canucks and Rangers has worked out for neither?

Yeah... Because Mike Fisher has a history of that kind of thing. :L

I'm not even sure that was even a penalty. You make that play 999/1000 and nothing happens. Unfortunately for Franson (and for Fisher, for that matter), a stanchion happened to be there when he steered Franson into the boards. Besides, Fisher isn't the type of guy that would intentionally ride a guy into the stanchion, either.

gumble grumble. them assholes might have wanted to consider that during the summer when there was a pretty damned good one on the market.

I'm not sure Schneider would have fit there.

Have to love early season success.... Avalanche off to a 4-0 start, and their tv guys are already talking as if they are Stanley Cup favorites.

Have they retired MacKinnon's number yet?

The Rangers are a complete mess right now - Ducks just manhandled them through the first period.

When the Isles are the best team in New York/NewJersey, all is right with the world.

Duchene us pretty damn fast...

Oh, and thanks for pissing off the Broons, you little bastard.

Jason Botchford is getting ripped to shreds for reporting Jumbo's colo(u)rful comments. Mike Jonhson (former player) and Pierre LeBrun (colleague) took him to task on TSN and I see other former players are chiming in to voice their displeasure as well.

just keep reporting the cliches botchy!

It was no skin off jumbos sack ... Joe wanted to put it out there ... you say that to a scrum with 20 people in it what do you expect ... especially when the canucks live stream game day in the lockeroom :noidea:

Yeah, I was going to say that Thornton wouldn't care and was wondering if anyone asked him whether he did... then I saw this, after the game:

One thing on the TSN segment that bugged me was when Botch was asked if he had ever heard language like that in a locker room before and he answered, "No". Caman Jason, really?

Yeah, that's about the time I facepalmed too, TBH...

It really sounded to me like Botch was (directly?) told by Thornton to STFU (didn't he say that Thornton yelled at everyone to shut up plus expletives out of the blue?)... and then his little feelings got hurt and he decided to "show him who's boss" or whatever by printing the quote. And then just play dumb/pretend like it's something outrageous that never happens, etc.

In fact, I'm pretty much convinced that's exactly how it went.

lol good lord ... no its not at all actually

it wasnt even botchford asking the question of marleau ... it was tsns Farhan Lalji who was asking the q

people are saying that botchford was the only one to report it ... team1040 had it on the radio with no reference to botchford

Joe thornton chimed in and said to farhan " did you ever play the game? " fuck off and "next question" in a jocular way ... he was joking with him and farhan said they have a great relationship

it was all supposed to be a funny ha ha all around ... from joes joke to Botchford and the team1040's playing of it to show that as we already knew joes got alot of personality

then the sharks had to bring in their pr guy and make a thing of it :L
