I dont know if it ever got posted but there were 2 or 3 other nhl teams at the mgm grand at the same time holding their end of season team partys when stoll got busted

when it all happened the story was originally he had enough they could charge him with carrying with the purpose of trafficking. and then there was the other drugs that he carried that apparently also had a seperate charge. now its basically a slap on the wrist.

I had read early on that it was about $600 of blow and a bit of ecstasy. So, a fair bit, but a good party's worth, not trafficking amount. And there were a bunch of other kings there doughty, quick etc. didn't hear about other teams though. But really, year end dust-up in Vegas... it would surprise me more if they weren't all carrying.

I spoke to Stoll's lawyer and they are considering a plea bargain where the community service time is performed while playing for the Oilers. Reportedly, the judge feels that is a bit harsh for the (alleged) crime committed.

I'm sure they're arguing that his 4+ seasons in Edmonton should count as time served already.
