I like Boychuk, but that's a great return for Boston in my opinion.

I'm presuming the 3rd pick is if they resign him Yeah that's pretty high but 2nd round picks are like a 20% chance of playing a 100 games in the NHL and that'd be in the next decade. So the Isles did okay great if they are able to resign him

EDIT: some reports that there may be another roster player from Chicago involved. Morin's name was floated. But, I think that was pre-Boychuk trade.

I hate having to keep saying this, but they were never in it. This was not a bottom 5 team before Boychuk either.

What an odd condition. Pretty sure they won't do that.

Isles D just got 10000xs better today with Leddy-Boychuk. I think they won both trades.

I agree a couple spare parts and a couple of 20% chances to help them in 4-6 years and a weakness becomes a str.. okay let's not push it but the Isles just probably leapfrogged a couple teams in the Metro

Easily could've put themselves back into the playoff picture, especially considering the volatile/weak Metro. They still lack a bonafide #1 guy, but they have a collection of #2/3s
