Game Thread: Ohio State vs. Wisconsin

This will be one of the top games of week 5, with Wisconsin coming to Columbus for an 8:00 primetime kickoff being played on ABC. Last time these 2 teams met in Columbus was 2 years ago when Ohio State won in dramatic fashion on a Braxton Miller hail mary with half a minute left.

Ya but tOSU only won that game because Braxton didn't over throw the ball. j/k!

Defensively Wisconsin and Stanford were pretty even with regards to what ASU's offense put up.

Come on now -- you can't be serious with this comment. Stanford was up 29-0 at halftime and 39-7 at the end of the 3rd. ASU piled up the yards in the 4th quarter once Stanford dropped back in prevent D.

To say the two defenses were comparable is silly. Stanford's offense was in run the clock mode and the defense was in prevent from the middle of the 3rd quarter on.

It'd be like a Lions fan saying Matthew Stafford is as good as Aaron Rodgers last year because they threw for roughly the same amount of yards. Like ASU, Stafford piled up a ton of yards in garbage time in the 4th quarter trying to come back from a double digit deficit.

Not that I'm aware of and I've seen every Buckeye game for the last 13 years that I can recall in detail.

Ohio State 27

Ohio State leads 27-24 when Wisconsin puts together a final drive, and instead of getting to FG range and kicking for the tie, Gordon or White breaks a long one for the go-ahead TD. Take Wisconsin and the over.

^ Last I heard, Pederson will probably play. Doe and Duckworth are almost definitely out. Others not so sure.

But yeah, missing up to six starters for a game like this one really sucks.

As long as your center plays, it should be a good game. Just my opinion, but the center never gets the propsike they should. Pretty important position on the field.

Just announced Guiton and Brax are co-starters for the game. I think this is a great decision by not committing to one guy.

Yeah it's a good decision by Urb....keeps us on our toes gameplanning (which I'm sure we are preparing for both anyways). IMO, Guiton should be on the field for a majority of the time....we're more susceptible to a passing qb than a runner.

Our backup Center is very good, but lacks experience. The most important loss would be Peniel Jean, simply due to depth his value at DB.

Doe being out may be a blessing in disguise, as he is sometimes a bit scary on punt returns. Can't afford TOs.

If Jean and Pedersen play I'll feel MUCH better. Without them I don't see this game ending well.
