Zubrus taking over Clarkson's role in the offense is a scary thought.

Seems insane to pay a potential 3rd liner that money, but I kind of like the thought of a Bernier-Zubrus-Clowe line. They'd be a bitch to play against. Top line featuring Kovy and Ryder with any combination of Loko, Truth, Zajac is also a nice thought.

If we could get Ryder on a 3 year deal for a decent price I think that's a great signing. The guy can score.

I am really hoping for Ryder now. We need scoring badly.
I think if its between NJ and Boston, the deal will have to be very good for him to choose the Devils.

If all the money was equal..and we were able to resign Clarkson for what Clowe got. Then I can see being pissed about choosing Clowe over Clarkson. But we werent gonna go anywhere near what Clarkson ended up getting.

And then you have the going home aspect with Clarkson..makes me think we should only sign Jersey guys.

Devils would've had to overpay even more to keep Clarkson in New Jersey then Toronto did..and even then Im not sure he would've preferred here over Toronto. Hockey players more then any other sport really care about location.

I couldnt justify giving Clarkson , whose only 1 year younger then Clowe , a 7 year deal for that price.

Silverberg is a solid player, plus a first rounder, no idea about Noesen. I think both teams got what they wanted out of that trade.

I'm from South Jersey and I've always been a NJ Devils fan. I could just say that everyone knows that North Jersey is a part of New York anyways. But I'm just not that ignorant.

North is Ranger country. Doesnt mean I'm not a Devils fan. Just like I'm not saying you're not a Devils fan. But going down Black Horse Pike or the AC boardwalk and you're more likely to see Philly stuff than NJ stuff
