My hope is we get him on a 1 year deal and Larsson is ready to take over his spot on the PP sometime during the season.

Although he is horrible in the defensive end he's the best offensive DMan available.

Word is we are hot on Clowe..heard talks of a 4 or 5 year deal.

Clarkson seems to be on his way to either Ottawa , Edmondton or Toronto.


Also Alfredsson going to Red Wings..thats a head scratcher..I thought he was retiring

Wont be cheap by any means but it will be cheaper then Clarkson's deal..and probably by a good amount.

I think signing Clowe leaves us room to get one more player. Hopefully a Weiss or Bozak.

Emery goes to Philly..Im sure Flyer fans think he'll put in the same type of performance for them that he did last season. Ya know cause Philly's D is pretty comparable to Chicago's.

That's a lot of money for Clowe, not sure how crazy I am about it. If he can stay healthy and get his game on track it may pan out but my thoughts are to be decided on this. Word is his game suffered in San Jose toward the end of his tenure because he was really unhappy and wanted out of town badly.

He was horribly misused in San Jose..he gave the Rangers the boost they needed. I dont think he's gonna score 30 goals but 20 is realistic.

Im reading about how Clarkson is gonna sign for 6 or 7 years for 6 or 7 per. So at that rate it makes Clowe look like a bargain. There is no reason why Clarkson would be worth 2 more mil per year then Clowe.

Horton at 7 years is a big gamble in my opinion. I mean I guess they can just LTIR him like the Flyers did to Pronger if he gets hurt, unless they changed that rule in the new CBA? I have no clue.

Clowe health is def a concern but when its a guy who's 5 years younger its not as much as it could be. Obviously health doesnt care about age in a sport like this but if your giving me the option of Briere for 4 or Clowe for 5 Im taking Clowe everytime.
