Cowboys need to aquire earl thomas. The young secondary would flourish with thomas. Signing 4 or 5 scrub free agents every off season i's not working. I am not saying break the bank. You can't tell me they could have not used the same amount of money on one player and not got at least a quality starter last off season. You can sign these bums during pre-season cuts for peanuts

I agree nice player, but that is too much. Atleast we have alot of draft picks. We have to keep building thru the draft. Even free agent WR are getting overpaid. Sam Watkins getting 16m for one year!!

One thing is for sure, Jerry and Stephen better get it in gear regarding Zack Martin's extension. It keeps getting more expensive the longer they wait. Should have been done last year. Martin is going to be the highest paid G in the league, it's going to cost Dallas more than they would like - more than Tyron Smith in AAV and guarantees - and Jerry and Stephen need to get over it.

It's cheap, sure. I just wish Dallas would actually get a true 1T run stuffer. For years the Cowboys have been running out whatever bargain they can find at the 1T/NT position. Just once I would like to see them make a real concerted effort to settle the position.

I think they are on a great position. If four QB's go on the top 18, pick 19 essentially becomes #15 for Dallas. It looks like good players from each of their needs could be there...a DT like Vea or Payne, an LB like Evans, WR like Ridley or Sutton, several good guard's. I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of moving up and down throughout the draft with all their picks

personally looking at who should be available at #19, I come up with 6 good choices: Harold Lloyd DE/Edge, Rashaad Evans ILB, Isaiah Wynn OG, Courtland Sutton WR, Isaiah Oliver CB & Da'Ron Payton DL1T. anyone of them would fill a need

There's a number of ways to go at 19 that fills a big need, so I say BPA out of DB, LB, WR, OL.
With 10 picks I expect Jerry to be in trade mode.

Your math is off a bit if any of those 4 QBs are actually in the top 19.

I would be stunned if Darnold, Allen, Rosen and Mayfield aren't all off the board by 19. Cleveland could (and should) take a QB, NYG, NYJ, Buffalo, Arizona, Denver(even with Keenum)....too many teams in need

I'm pretty familiar with their cap space this year and in years past, that's not what I am talking about. You don't have to spend a ton of money to draft a guy. Also not suggesting throw a big money deal at a big name, but Dallas can spend a little money to avoid running out the Brian Price's or Nick Hayden's of the world. The Cowboys choose not to, I'm not just talking about this year, they always scrape the bottom of the barrel for that 1T/NT position. Organizational philosophy I guess.
