Well, technically, I didn't say anything about the conditions under which he would appear, so yes, that would be a possibility. But maybe it's just my sense of humor, but I always thought (and I'm being quite serious) the Crab was underappreciated. I concede it was probably a misguided attempt to try to make light of the, um, "conditions" that prevailed at the Stick, but I kinda got a kick out of him.

As a non-roster invitee. Nothing more.

Doubt he will want to come to SF, though. He would want a less-challenging OF to play defensively and a better hitters park. Other teams (Houston, Phily maybe?) that would also be interested in taking a flier on him that would be more attractive for his career.
