so a couple hours before TSN aired Thats Hockey Dreger was all over trade is happening for Luongo blah blah blah. then Thats Hockey comes on and nothing... now this morning he says Nothing is happening it may be a quiet day.

Portzline is just like that. He desperately wants to be the first one to report something, so he throws GOBS of crap at the wall. Yesterday in an online chat he he said that he truly thinks Nash is going to stay put an the meeting yesterday was to let his agent know they expect Nash to be professional since he's staying.

Portzline is the one who's been :hdn: all along that Nash wants out. Everyone else, including Howson, said that the team told Nash they wanted to rebuild, and he responded with "if it helps you do that, I will accept a trade to these teams". I don't imagine by the way he played at the end of the season that management has to ask much of him as far as professionalism is concerned.

The way I figure it went down was they had a deal from a "non-approved" team. Howson asked permission, Agent/Nash said no. So the conference was "No closer to a deal". The list is allegedly out there. So teams on it know they don't have to give up much.
