Weird pick. Even if he is great I just don't see how he's going to fit into things. Maybe they just wanted to go with the BPA or the FO knows something we don't about Turbin or Lynch.

I swear to god if they select another 3rd string player my computer is going out the window.

Was there anyone in the draft that the Hawks had a cahnce to draft that could beat out any of our first stringers this off season? Maybe a LB or OG, but do they fit our system?

I was just thinking that.
Schneider talked this week about picking player based upon "who they will compete with" ...I wonder if this means there were no players available that would actually compete for contributing minutes. *This leads me to think that either he must have a likelihood of competing with Turbin or he is very likely to be a long term solution. :2cents:

Khaseen Greene could have been our new outside linebacker for one.

Greene is still there...so we'll see
That was my point - I still haven't seen any players taken that I highly coveted.

I'd at least like someone who could beat out a 2nd stringer...

He wouldn't have lasted until then if any other teams were paying attention. Turbin is decent but he's not a game breaker like Michael. Turbin will end up being third string eventually. When we cut leon I knew we would draft a RB, I'm just surprised they drafted one early and it was a guy I was very fond of but didn't think would actually end up on the Hawks....I'm stoked nonetheless.

Imagine if Lynch does get injured and we only have Turbin to rely on. That's fine but this guy is a home run threat which I love.

Turbin is a good option at #2 and would start on a lot of teams.

Michael has yet to stay healthy long enough to eclipse 900 yards at the COLLEGE LEVEL. If a man's body can't hold up in NCAA how can it hold up in the NFL against the cream of the crop and much bigger, faster guys?

I wonder if they will consider Matt Barkley, draft him and then trade him in a couple years...haha

I wouldn't go as far as saying he is a homerun threat, but I hear ya. We have 3 backs who are one cut and go backs. They are all tough and fall forward. Not sure if A&M ran a zone O-line or not, but hopefully they did because that would give Michael a huge jumpstart on our scheme in reading the cut and the defense.

At first I laughed at the Christine pick but after watching his film I have to admit, he looks scary good and could probably beat out Turbin for that number 2 spot, and be the successor to Lynch who is closing in on 30 and goes through alot of punishment year in and year out.

This ought to be interesting. With the Seahawks weakness at #2 QB Barkley is an interesting option.

Ironically I think that Barkley could possibly make a better QB than Wilson.

I'm listening to the talking heads discussing Matt Barkley and I just flashed the thought what if the Seahawks use there third rounder to pick Barkley, omg.

Keep in mind he could hardly stay healthy throughout his NCAA career. After watching Michael I still feel like Turbin is the superior player, and plus he has (somewhat) done it at the NFL level.

Solid pick with Jordan Hill. Doubt the ESPN talking heads will ever get to talk about it though. The Seahawks needed defensive line depth and Jordan Hill can provide that. I don't know much about Hill yet but I like the selection in the 3rd round.

correction: would be available in the next round... we still need that WR and OLB... we should trade up... we have the gear to trade
