Ewww, anybody see Bob Costas' eye infection? He's like the main guy for NBC, he's probably getting the best of the best over there and he winds up with his eye swollen shut and now bright red. Gross.

Did he wash his face with Hotel "water"?

I remember watching it with my parents growing up, but the last couple Olympics I haven't watched any of it. I don't think it's embarrassing to watch it, I just haven't really gotten into it. I might give it a shot this year.

There's only one reason figure skating is a sport...It's played on a hockey rink.

:D

Yep. Shaun White might have been on to something backing out of that...

The fact that these women all have more balls than him?

It's a gnarly course. It's the biggest event in the sport's history. Go big or go home. He went home.

Knowing how hard it is to skate well playing hockey, I appreciate what those people are capable of doing.

I also used to REALLY appreciate Kristi Yamaguchi, if you know what I mean and I think you do.

If I'm a American slope-styler who lost his spot to Shaun White only to see the Flying Tomato pull out of the event, I'm a little pissed right about now.

I turned on the Olympics and saw my most hated enemy. I was glad to see his left eye was basically swollen shut. :laugh3:

Somebody finally hit that midget, good for them!!

Canada's broadcasters can learn a thing or two from NBC about confidence/arrogance. USA sits 7th in team figure skating but are talking like they have the gold medal on lockdown.

That Russian figure skating routine was tight. I thought the Canadians were brilliant, and then the Russians just blew them out of the water.

Slopestyle looks terrifying.

That's a good skiing family Canada sent to the women's mogul... Three sisters to the final.

If your gaydar is broken and you find yourself unfortunately watching mens figure skating i got a tip for u

The dude that the announcers say "has strong technique and jumping ability but falls short on artistic merit and flair" is usually the straight guy

I guess they haven't the had five minutes segments produced on every athlete in soft, fuzzy focus that shows all the adversity they've overcome like that one time they had a hangnail all finished and they had to fill.

40,000 athletes competing and we have to see pictures of a figure skater holding her pinkie toe and crying 14 years ago. SHOW THE GAMES
