No problem. I heard "Pudge doesn't make HOF" and I got triggered.

Makes perfect sense to me. ha ha

Seriously though, this type of "voting" doesn't get me jazzed nearly as much as it once did.

I missed it by a year it seems.....From the article:

You probably missed this blockbuster news. But it came down last month, when the Baseball Writers' Association of America voted 80-9 to make every voter's Hall of Fame ballot public starting in 2018.

Maybe ESPN can be a "trend setter" on all of the voters being held accountable.......That's my only hope. ha

That's about the only worthwhile thing those boneheads could bring to the table. If Tim freakin' Raines is a HOF, then Pudge Rodriguez should have been unanimous.

True......But you know how this silliness works.

And since you know how this works, you know Pudge will get in, probably this year. If he doesn't, honestly, it's not any great shakes to me, despite the fact I think he should make it on the first ballet.

Pudge has to be a first ballot HOF'er if ever there was one. Can not imagine what more one could do to qualify than Pudge. Not because he was a Ranger but on his own merits no matter where he played.

Greatest defensive catcher who ever lived, played the most games at catcher... add the fact that he could hit, and you have an easy HOF lock. Obviously I'm biased, but those merits are statistically based.

I think much more than 75% believes he deserves to be in HOF even slight PED rumor.

However there is a percentage of voters boycotting him because they do not believe him to be worthy of being a 1st ballot HOF despite a guy like Ozzie Smith going in. My take why he may not make it. Non public ballots = hiding

I hope ther is an uproar if he does not make it.

Of course I think Schilling should get in too. Really sorry these popularity police trying to make it some frat house. I would not mind a PED section.

If Pudge had played for the Yankees he would easily go in on the first ballot. I tend to think even Michael Young would be a hall of famer eventually if he had played for the Yankees. Not that I actually think Young deserves it though.

Pudge will make it tho, probably next year. I guess that's what matters in the end.

This.... How much better as a catcher was Pudge than Jeter as a SS. No offense to Jeter, but not even close IMO

Dyson will pitch for Team USA this spring. I would rather he didn't.
