We have AJ and likely Colby for cheaper if we want him. I am hoping they find a more talented SP likely via trade who fits in as a 3 with Perez as 4. Just an opinion. Also may get Mendez in rotation

I have seen enough of AJ in the rotation myself. I would choose Derek over AJ.

I do wonder what kind of pitcher and package we could get for Odor. 2-3 months ago some of us were discussing trading Odor and a SP was one thing that was named to acquire by trading him.

Unsure what I want for Profar. 2B is fine if we won't lose 33 HR in Odor. What do you think the chance of Beltre at 1B and profar to 3 RD are?

That outfield is crowded. Choo Maz Desmond Gomez Rua and Deshields. Choo may move to DH and DDJ likely gone so he could make the move.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to depend on Derek for the #3 spot either. I was penciling him in at the bottom of the rotation.

Since AJ hadn't pitched in over 2 years, I'm thinking he may have just run outta gas later in the season. For me, he's definitely coming back for another look.

Hadn't seen this. But sure find it interesting. Odor at one of the corner OF spots with Profar moving to 2nd may have some merit.

Odor's HR's are wonderful. But his atrocious defense/base running/lack of walks negates this somewhat.

JD said he would like to have all of their free agents back under the right conditions.

He also said he expects the rotation to get better simply due to Perez and Darvish being further away from surgery.

He said he sees the importance on developing and polishing their own starting pitchers when speaking to the weakness of the free agent market for starting pitchers.

He forgot about Perez having mental problems. Hope he can work thru that bc it is keeping him from being a very good pitcher.
