Good advice. There are really not that many current threads on this forum so it is that big of a deal. It was a different matter on the old ESPN forums and is on larger forums such as ExtremeSkins since they had/have much more activity.

Just give people a little friendly advice (avoid the name calling in this case) and just hope for the best. Beyond that - don't sweat it. The last thing that we need is for fellow Redskins fans (or friendly rivals) to be badmouthing each other.

A little long but pretty interesting. This was one of the few times that I had respect for Stephen A Smith. Unlike just about any other member of the media he actually showed a willingness to listen to the facts and possibly change his take on this subject (of course Bayless takes the other position - they probably worked this out in their pre-production mtg).

Bayless uses the same weak argument as fellow flunkie Mike Wise - "if even one Native American objects the name should be changed". Lame. Again - if that is the case then Notre Dame MUST change its name if an Irishman takes issue or the Vikings must change their name if someone of Nordic descent objects. Bayless also claims that this issue is not media driven which is the biggest lie of all.

Props to Stephen A. Smith (he can be alright when he is not yelling & screaming).

Couldn't agree with you more on your excellent points. As a skins fan, I'm sooooo sick of this shit. I'd really like a discussion to happen with Native American leaders and hear and make a decision based on their input, instead of all these media talking heads, so we can hear from those who count and move on, but it doesnt seem to be on the "agenda". We can look forward to this bull ad finitim.

Not sure what your beef with Steinberg is about. He has stayed impartial in the debate as far as I have read.

His schtick is to just blog EVERYTHING Redskins related ... the good, the bad, & the ugly.
