Give me Kelenic - McNeill - Dunn and it's a wrap!

If we do land them, that would be awesome... My guess is Dip my send one of two of those prospects some where else for some other prospects that play a different position of need...

Obviously I don't want to get trade raped and want to free up payroll, but I'm really hoping that the financial aspect of a trade with the Mets doesn't get in the way of acquiring a guy like Kelenic.

This is feeling more and more like it's going to end up a huge letdown. It's gonna be something like Cano+Diaz+Lewis+cash for Bruce+McNeil+Dunn.

If this holds up, this is how the deal would look:

Mariners send:
-Robinson Cano ($120m over 5 years)
-Edwin Diaz
-???? Money

Mariners receive:
- Jay Bruce: Owed $28m over 2 years.
- Anthony Swarzak: Owed $8.5m in 2019.
- Jeff McNiel: Mets' 2B in 2018. Put up great numbers in 2018 and throughout his career in the Mets' system.
- Jarred Kelenic CF: #6 overall pick in the 2018 draft, #62 overall prospect.
- Justin Dunn RHP: #89 overall prospect.

I find this hard to believe unless the Mariners are sending a fuck ton of money along with Cano.

dunn mcniel..im ok with..im ok with bruce as long as they send him to san diego for cordero,,,lol
go for another prospect..not swarzak

gimenez..ss AA
or catcher or pitcher

then maybe a phili trade after
Swarzak makes $8.5 million next year. Mets want to send some payroll obligation back our way. Doubt if he breaks camp with the team.

Sounds like this trade is about done. Mets starting to inform the players involved.

Oh yeah, let's wait until the midnight hour and pull back McNeill and replace him with Bautista. Fuck you, Mets and you too Dipoto if you cave.

From the onset it doesn’t look bad at all, even if they get shafted in the money they send to the Mets, it seems like a solid deal.

On the surface, it seems too good to be true.

Hopefully tomorrow we will know more.

Most likely their plan all along. Let see if Dipoto caves.... something tells me he will.

why did swarzak pitch bad last year
is there somthing wrong with his
arm
need a medical on that
still need a AAA catcher..and could use a AA catcher as well

assuming the mariners get a free
agent catcher as well

This obviously hurts the return. I kind of thought getting all three was a pipe dream. With that being said if there was one that I would choose to take out it would be McNiell. He is the most major league ready yes but with a team thats a couple years away minimum, I can live with that. The biggest positive on him was that it would make it easier to kick Dee Gordon to the curb. Hope that happens regardless.

However just another example Dipoto never being the one holding the cards

Oh god this changes everything. I was under the impression it was $60 mil including the two contracts not $60 mil on top of that. Couple that with no McNiel and FUCK.

Dipoto getting owned again.
