Well said.
I see a similar situation myself. His behavior I think stems from vanity, so I'm not sure if he will eventually make adjustments and if his spring performance is any indication, he could end up in the bullpen at some point.
Although I could see a situation where a team takes a flier on him.
Hell, if Yovani Gollardo is any indication, someone will take a flier on him. I can't believe that the Rangers bothered signing him after his 2017 and 2016 years.
Seager out 10-12 weeks. So pretty much post-AS return here.
I mean neither has the last 17ish years, so it fits right inI guess this helps that first base logjam issue they were having. Assuming Healy plays 3rd most days. It probably wont be pretty but oh well
I think Vanity is apart of it and stubbornness. I really think he tried reforming but it was an unfortunate intersect of him trying Jerry’s way of pitching while at the same time his ability rapidly declined.
I still would much rather the organization just suck it up and cut him instead of having unnamed sources talking crap or Servais talk crap. It’s like they intentionally are trying to make this a terrible ending. Granted he isn’t really helping his send off well but the Mariners to me are handling this about as poorly as possible with a star who is the singular reason the franchise didn’t become the Marlins or Rays in terms of attendance or being relevant in the market.

I speculate they haven't sucked it up and cut him is perhaps out of respect. They might perceive it as a poor PR move. The only thing I can think of is that it would be better to give him one last chance and let him suck than to cut him.
Also if people still continue attending the King's Court thing, it's a decent way of putting people in otherwise undesirable seats.
Mariners attendance would probably never hit the level of the Marlins or Rays. I say that mostly because there are a lot of younger people who enjoy going to the games despite not being able to name one player on the team.
Going to the games is a "trendy" thing to do among millennials because they want to get a picture for Instagram or virtue signal that they're into sports. I say that coming from personal experience as I am a millennial. There are a ton of girls I know who go to the games frequently who don't give a shit about the team because "the guys are hot" and they view it as a social event. That's why The Pen is always full.

I was/still am interested in how Seager performs after his improved conditioning so I'm disappointed in that regard. That aside, it could be a blessing in disguise.
I'm just curious who the Mariners would rather play 1B. Bruce, Encarnacion or Vogelbach. If they're willing to play Encarnacion at 1B and put Jay Bruce at DH, that could give Bruce an opportunity to perhaps build his trade value. If Healy was the starter at 1B, I believe it would be difficult to find Bruce enough ABs to prove he's worth anything on the market.
I have my fingers crossed that Bruce plays well so we're able to move his contract and perhaps get something moderately decent in return.
The question with felix and seager is..can they stay at the major league lvl
Seager can...at least for now...felix ????
Unknown
I would not have a prob sending Felix down
Cuz who wants to pay his contract.
Does that work...what am I thinking...lolo
He would clear waivers
Then sent to tacoma..but still on mlb contract....???
