These players are overrated, and when you take away any incentives to perform by rewarding players with huge contracts before they proved they can win, it just accommodates averageness. Removing competition and just blowing smoke up player's asses every year, accomplishes nothing. I knew that this defense was overrated and couldn't get any sustained pressure, and that Ware is just a shell of his former self....but no one listened.

It all starts at the top. Anyone who has been a fan of the Cowboys for more than a day and a half knows Jerry is the real problem. This mess doesn't get fixed until Jerry is gone. JJ emasculates every coach and player that works for him. JJ speaks out of turn on all manner of things, from injury situations, down to who is starting at right gunner on special teams. He hands out horrible contracts to undeserving players and generally mismanages the salary cap at every turn. Jerry absolutely refuses to build a reliable O-line and D-line. There is not one thing on the football side of things that Jerry gets a gold star for. Not one. I have been a fan since I was 6-7 years old, I'm 29 now, and I'm losing my love for this team. I just can't stand watching the same movie over and over.

To be honest, I've been a Cowboy fan since 1970. Been embarrassed to be a Cowboy fan since Jerry took control of the draft and got Quincy Carter. It has been downhill since.

How anyone here can say with a straight face that this defense will get better with these aging overrated players heading towards the down side of their careers moving forward from here (as the worst defense in football right now), is beyond comprehension.

It's time to blow up this team and start over, but I'm pretty sure that every poster here already knows what Jerry will do. Blame the coaching staff, and never himself, draft another OLmen and DLmen, prop up Romo as the greatest QB in NFL history and give him another weapon to make another fantasy SB run with next year as Romo ages even more and slows from injuries, just to keep the charade going that he never makes mistakes when handing out all those ridiculous contract extensions. This is Dallas Cowboys will into the future until Jerry retires in afraid.

It becomes a soap series with players and coaches falling in live what their players and teammates USE to be able to do....leaving off of past accomplishments and past seasons production. This team has never been the same after Jimmy Johnson left because he was a no-nonsense bottom line kind of person that could corral Jerry's ego and cut or sit players that was not producing. Know you Hollywood in Dallas with Romo as the leading star per Jerry...nothing will ever change that but more years of chocking and embarrassing seasons I'm afraid. It's a mindset that is being set in Dallas now with Garrett and Jerry...they always see a must win now situation and a SB ready team, yet in reality it couldn't be further from the truth.

Every board I have ever posted on has had those kind of posters who make you scratch your head. Usually I do the same, shake my head and move on, but it seems more and more Cowboy fans are posting these kind of post.
