Probably organizational depth. Cheerios would have likely started the year at AAA himself if Soto were healthy.

I knew Chirinos was going to start at AAA until Soto went out so hopefully then Gimenez will take his place down there. I know we like to get guys that Oakland lets go that hit around the Mendoza line.

Until they nullify contracts and limit future earnings it won't do much. Go after their motivation.

The price of using steroids and taking the chance that you wont get caught far exceeds the price of not taking them at all. Ask Melky Cabrera. Until it starts affecting their salary in some way, I highly doubt it even slows down.

These guys have so much money that going after their earnings won't hurt them. Penalty should be for only two strikes and out.

Gimenez has to be on the 25man ... out of options ... Rule 5 acquisition.

Suspect he'll be on the 25man until he craps out and Cherinos replaces him or Soto returns.

You're correct.

It's exactly the point Rev was making a few post earlier; nullifying contracts is the only solution.

I disagree and agree. Professional athletes are among the most greediest of people on the planet. Sure, they'll probably be fine from a normalcy standpoint, but if it affects the way they're living their dream of a life, then I bet they care.

But I agree that we shouldn't give them a 3rd chance. If you make the same mistake twice there is no excuse. The first time your excuse may be "I didn't know it was illegal." But by the second time you should know to educate yourself on these things
